چکیده
The characterization and leaching mechanism of REEs from phosphogypsum (PG) in HCl was studied in-depth. contained the PG were 208 ppm, which Y, La, Ce, Nd four most abundant elements. modes occurrence rare earth elements (REEs) quantified using sequential chemical extraction (SCE) method. Among five REE species, metal oxide form accounted for largest proportion, followed by residual, organic matter, ion-exchangeable fractions, bound to carbonates least. From comparison distributions calcium different states, it can be determined that mainly present residue state (existed gypsum lattice) (easily leached). results show suitable conditions acid concentration 1.65 mol/L, S/L ratio 1/10, reaction temperature 60 °C. At condition, maximum efficiency ∑REE 65.6%, yttrium rate highest reached 73.8%. Importantly, A new kinetic equation based on cylindrical shrinking core model (SCM) deduced could well describe process PG. apparent activation energy 20.65 kJ·mol−1.

Optimization of Acid Leaching of Rare-Earth Elements from Mongolian Apatite-Based Ore
Optimization of the acid leaching process for Mongolian apatite-based ore containing rare-earth elements (REEs) was studied. The ore contained approximately 10% of REEs as total rare earth oxides, and the major impurities were Ca (33% as CaO) and Fe (23% as Fe2O3). Fe bearing minerals could be removed by passing the sample through a wet high-intensity magnetic separator before leaching. After m...

متن کاملIron leaching from bauxite ore in hydrochloric acid using response surface methodology
In this work, hydrochloric acid is used to remove iron impurities in the bauxite ore contained in the diasporite mineral located in the Sari region. The bauxite ore was calcined at different temperatures and times, and then dissolved in a hydrochloric acid solution. After determining the optimum calcination conditions in 1 h at 900 °C, the response surface methodology (RSM) with four factors in...
متن کاملEffect of Hydrochloric Acid on Leaching Behavior of Calcareous Phosphorites
The bulk of the world's phosphate reserves is located in sedimentary horizons that contain appreciable amounts of carbonate. During beneficiation of phosphate rocks, huge amounts of oversize phosphate rocks are rejected from crushers. This reject also mostly contains low tricalcium phosphate and high carbonate content. In this study, experiments have been carried out to reduce/eliminate car...
متن کاملKinetics of Sphalerite Leaching by Sodium Nitrate in Sulfuric Acid
In the present work, the extraction of zinc from a sphalerite concentrate using sodium nitrate as an oxidant in a sulfuric acid solution was investigated. The effective parameters such as the temperature, sulfuric acid and sodium nitrite concentrations, stirring speed, particle size, and solid/liquid (S/L) ratio were analyzed. The dissolution rate increased with increase in the sulfuric acid an...
